As much as I may be unique my name certainly isn’t. There are a few John Robb’s out there that you might stumble across. When travelling on business in the pre-internet days I’d occassionally look up my name in the phone book. Sometimes I’d find my name. I knew it wasn’t me because I didn’t live in that city.
Like you, I’ve done a few google searches on my name and here are a few interesting John Robb’s that I’ve found.
John Robb - Blogger. You’ll find this fellow at the top of any search for John Robb. I’m assuming his blog is pretty popular.
John Robb – Musician. I actually saw this fellow interviewed on a documentary about Rock n Roll music. That was kind of weird. His band is called Goldblade.
John Robb – Politician/Surgeon. I had no idea that this Irish politician existed. Thank you Wikipedia.
John Robb – Another Musician. This is a lesser known musician named John Robb. Again, I only found this guy through Wikipedia.
John Robb – Internet Consultant. Well yes this is me but just in case you don’t see the links on the right here’s a link to my business site.
John Robb – Interior Designer. Looking to redo your bar or nightclub you might want to give this John Robb a call.
John Robb – Crown Attorney. There is an interesting story here. This John Robb and I lived in the same town for a while. In that this John Robb was a crown attorney I would occasionally get phone calls from the police looking to disucss some legal matter with me. Unfortunatley I was not able to help them, I didn’t even have the phone number to THAT John Robb.
I have a tendancy to add the initial for my middle name as a way of differentiating myself from some of those other John Robb’s on the web. That doesn’t always help. Here are a few John A Robb’s that I’ve found.
John A Robb – attorney. Lookng for a law firm in Pittsburgh? This might be the guy you want
John A Robb – hairdresser. Need a haircut in Greensburg, PA? I suggest you look up Johnny.
It can sometimes freak you out when you see your name in the obituaries. Here’s a recent obituatuary for a John A Robb that is most definatley not me!
Here is a question I have for these other John Robbs: Do you ever get called John-Robb as if the name is like Billy-Bob? I get it all the time! If i’m not getting called John-Robb i’m getting called Rob. That one drives my brother crazy.
